The Michigan Heroes Museum seeks to Honor, Respect, and Remember all Michigan veterans by telling the stories of over 900 servicemen and women year-round. Our museum hosts the public display of more Medals of onor than any other museum or institution in the United States.​

  •      Gov. Wilbur M. Brucker (1931 - 1932) – US Army - Spanish American War and WWI

  •      Gov. G. Mennen "Soapy" Williams (1949-1961) – US Navy - WWII

  •      Gov. John Swainson (1961 - 1963) – US Army - WWII

  •      Gov. William Milliken (1969 - 1983) – US Air Corps - WWII

  •      Speaker of the House Lew Dodak - US Army - Vietnam

Every day The Michigan Heroes Museum shares the personal stories of heroism, leadership, and sacrifice – sometimes the ultimate sacrifice – of ordinary Michigan men and women thrust into extraordinary circumstances. The museum believes that sharing this heritage is vital to understanding our past and preserving our future.
